Don't thank my for the watches. You want to thank me? Watch me back or fav something or leave a comment on a picture or something. Otherwise, seriously, refrain.
But artists have means to protect themselves from getting screwed off. a commissioner generally does NOT(unless the commissioner makes a 'terms for being commissioned' and no lie that still comes off as popmus to me no matter how good the intentions). they are subject to their terms and conditions and HOPING they are decent and reliable people. that are true tot heir word and business ethic.I both sell and (used to) buy commissions. (not sure how people watching me aren't aware of that) so I see shit from both ends. and I still hold the artist -mostly- responsible.
if you get jerked around as an artist 90% chance your TOS isn't well written or you don't have one at all. i know this because I -experienced- this. When I got my TOS together there was far less BS on the selling end for me.
but as a buyer. if some shit decides to run off with my money. and even with how paypal is and how long art CAN take there's a chance i just won't get the money.
and while NOW i do ask for wips.
another thing was being new to commissioning and not being aware that not all people offer wips (which....just..i still dont understand...on a wing-it? sure cool. on a standard commission? no check ins? really?)
